What is political science?
A question that has really tongue tied many people is, what is political science? There are several answers that many people have come up with regarding this issue. This is because of the different political ideologies that people deem important.
Some people say that political science is the study of governments. Other people are of the idea that it is the study of political trends in a country. Scholars combine the two and say that political science is the close study of a government, their political behavior and political processes. It is also a branch of science in case some of you did not know.
One might start thinking how is it a science? Well, it is a branch of the social sciences in which the study revolves mainly around describing, analyzing and the prediction of political behaviors along a certain line of political systems. In simple terms, you can simply say that it is a science that studies and observes how the government operates and comes up with predictions of a political future.

The main aim of political science normally is to help students make a strong career in politics. It is also geared to give them proper knowledge of all the political procedures that are very helpful. Students who definitely make a career out of this branch of the social sciences are known as political scientists. This can lead them into a bunch of fantastic careers in the government. This includes careers in state and local governments, federal and law. They can also land big opportunities in sectors such as international organizations, business and electoral politics.
Their job responsibilities will mainly be revolving around analyzing different sectors of political behaviors. This also includes public opinion, public administration, voting and taxation. Apart from all this, they are generally going to carry out keen research on the different public issues and the various political relationships and the resources. This type of research procedure can either be within one country or even internationally.
A key point to note however is that this research and process of analysis normally includes various public opinion, judicial rulings, and decision-making. Adding on to this, they also do what is commonly known as recommending solutions. Sometimes they also conduct research. This kind of research will help in making proper decisions on matters that affect the citizens, the environment and businesses.
Political science is one of the fun lessons to study at university. There are many people who try to study it but usually lose the drive and morale.
